Grapevine-Colleyville ISD is moving ahead with plans for in-person proms and graduation ceremonies this spring.
Will there be a traditional prom?
Yes. Colleyville Heritage’s prom will be May 1 at Mustang Panther Stadium in Grapevine, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Grapevine High School’s prom will be May 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The location is still being determined, according to the school’s Facebook page.
Will there be a traditional graduation ceremony?
Yes. Colleyville Heritage High School’s ceremony will take place at Mustang Panther Stadium in Grapevine May 27 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Grapevine High School’s ceremony will be held at the same location and time May 28.
District officials chose the time “to provide graduates and their families with a more comfortable atmosphere, and hopefully cooler temperatures,” according to CHHS’s website. The outdoor stadium was selected “to best accommodate our families and ensure social distancing and safety protocols.”
GCISD will also livestream both graduation ceremonies.
